Our Most Recent Adventure!
Canyoning &Zip-lining!
So I know how I shared just how terrified I was to go canyoning... I truly was not looking forward to this. I am actually very thankful that Hector challenged me to go! He told me I need to face my fears, and I'm not gonna lie... I WAS afraid at first, BUT after the initial waterfall repelling experience... the next four waterfalls were a cinch and SUPER fun! Enjoy the photos!

Putting my faith in a rope was definitely a test. (I may have exaggerated a bit for dramatization ;) |

Jennea and her long legs came in handy! |

That's my sister-in-law! Go Deanna! |
After an exhausting day of CRA-CRA-ness... Deanna and I went over my teacher's house to help prepare for her two-year-old son's birthday party, which was on Sunday! We helped her wrap a bunch of gifts for the little ones as prizes and between Deanna and I and (thank God) a compressor, we blew up and tied around 250 balloons!! We were wiped out!

Sael was nice enough to share his ''tambor'' with Jaden. |
El Sabado
After a fun filled day of canyoning we were ALL exhausted. I'm going to be honest. I spent most of the day Saturday sleeping... I was BEAT. But Saturday night we had youth group, and this week was extremely fun. One of the games that my brother taught us was to stand in a circle and everyone had to grab a random hand of a person in front of you or near you, you then had to UN-tangle yourself without letting go of hands. It was so hilarious and at one point our school director, Hector, was literally on the floor laughing! I SO wish I had my phone to snap a photo of that moment! After youth group, my brother's host family's restaurant was throwing a Halloween party. Jennea and I decided to go and figured we would catch the 10 o'clock bus back to La Selva. It was jam packed with people of all ages dancing to salsa & merenge! Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to dance, but it was still a good time.
The restaurant (Called Rancho Monte Verde) is a good 15 minute walk from the bus stop, and is always an adventurous walk in the pitch black of night. We first have to walk down a step dirt, stone rode... but tonight it was very muddy due to the rain, we then cross a small bridge, travel through a residential neighborhood, cross another small bridge and finally arrive at the bus stop. To our surprise there was no one there. We soon found out there IS no bus at 10pm out of Tuis! :/ Luckily during the week at school my teacher gave me several phone numbers to local Taxis... most taxi services end around 6 or 9pm. Praise the Lord the driver I called was available! We made it home safely :)

I snuck in a dance with Macha :) |
